Buyer (International Trade)

We, food wholesale company, are seeking a buyer that has import purchasing experience.
(Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA)

Job Responsibilities:
• Accurately forecast demand for each SKU and organize monthly purchasing requirements
• Responsible for Costing jobs and ensuring maximum profitability for the company
• Work closely with overseas vendors to obtain pricing and product information
• Work with the sales team and management to assemble orders for each vendor
• Contact customs broker office to coordinate shipment and deliveries of ocean cargo
• Maintain company import and product purchase records and make sure local and national permits and regulations are kept up to date
• Find new vendors for food products both local and international
• Review company catalog and make sure that product pages are kept up to date on our website
• Handle occasional customer orders when sales team is not available.
• Perform additional office activities as required

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in an import/export administration role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Practical understanding of US laws and regulations governing exports and imports
• Proficiency using MS Office software
• SAP experience is a plus
