Customer Service Representative – Bilingual: English and Korean

Roles and Responsibilities
• Investigate and handle all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, and complaints.
• Perform data entry and cash handling and relative notes.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
• Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders.
• Initiate orders for replacement parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.)
• Initiate file maintenance for corrections to the computer’s customer file.
• Fill out forms and determine changes for the service requested.
• Solicit the sale of new or additional products.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Obtain customer feedback information.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database.
• Learn product selection to increase product knowledge and company offerings (different types, category location, etc.).
• Maintain assigned work areas to ensure a presentable appearance for customers.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: 2-year certificate from college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Preferred Skills
• Bi-Lingual: English/Korean
• Customer Service and/or Cashier experience
Job Type: Full-time (35-40 hours per week)
Pay: $17-24 per hour (commensurate with relevant work experience)
