R&D Dessert Technologist (Full-time) - HQ in Los Angeles, CA

SOMISOMI Franchise Inc. is the fast growing company, thus we are hiring a Franchise Support Assistance in Headquarter.



•DUTIES:
- Work on mostly dessert and pastry will be in charge of: Product Categories such as ice cream, bakery, categories.
- Work mainly on dessert and ice cream item with focus on Asian flavor profiles
- Have a good communication skills to be able to correspond effectively with prospects, vendors and franchisees
- Process Design to set up preparation; Packaging
- Direct dessert (bakery, ice cream etc) to ensure product quality and efficiency of operations
- Maintain plant inspection ready for 3rd party audits and regulatory inspections
-Perform analysis on manufacturing performance and expenses and develop goals for improvement.
- Project Management skills with the ability to complete tasks independently
- Prepare product specifications, set-up formulas and write technical reports and test run plans
- Perform consumer sensory testing and shelf-life studies for pre-launch products
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers as needed, especially sourcing new ingredients and researching MOQs, specifications, pricing and building relationships
- Develop products within cost and nutritional guidelines
- Perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the department

•REQUIREMENTS:
-BS Food Science or related filed experience (2 years or more)
-R&D experience in the food industry and culinary background strongly preferred
-Bakery or/and dessert industry experience is highly desired, training/ certification or degree preferred
-Demonstrated knowledge of ingredient functionality, product evaluation, health and nutrition and food manufacturing processes
-Nutritional bar development and commercialization a plus
-R&D experience in the food industry and culinary background strongly preferred
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

•COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
-starting $18 - $21/hr (+ experience)
